2008, our Fourth National meet,
will be held on: 20th April, 2008 at
Topiwala National Medical College & B.Y.L. Nair Hospital,
Mumbai Central, Mumbai-400 008. The theme of
this conference is 'Towards Day Care Millennium'.
Addressing specific issues on Day
Surgery, in a Public-Private effort to better this concept.
The success of the
First, Second and Third National conference has taken us a step
forward, progressing towards gaining recognition to Day care surgery
as a Super Specialty, once again, we have organised a useful array
of scientific deleberation and discussions from our National, as
well as, Inter-National faculty.
An Oration is being introduced for the first time.
The gamut of surgical case as Day case is increasing day by day
all over the world. We in India, are not far behind, like in all
specialized fields of surgery, there is a need to look for
progression towards the betterment of ambulatory surgery. The
dilemmas in selection of cases, preparation of patients, involvement
of medical insurance and medical tourism, has made it necessary for
us to be ready for any individuality.
Globally, all eyes are on India. We are a destination for varied
activities. Let us be be prepared.
The Second National conference aims to address these issues,
preparing for the future. 'My Experience' sections allows you to put
forward your data and ideas for discussion as a National delegate.
There always has to be a first time for everything new. Any help
that you require from the Secretariat please do not hesitate to ask,
we will do so with the best of our ability and
capacity.
Organizing a conference is not easy, especially
when it is being held for the first time; we will require all the
help that you can provide, volunteer and suggestions are
welcome.
